Mr. Benson is the President of Benson Advisory Services LLC, which provides advice and assistance to a variety of clients on Federal Government contracting and healthcare-related matters. Prior to establishing Benson Advisory Services, he served as Counsel in the Washington D.C. Office of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney. While working for the law firm, he provided advice and assistance regarding Federal contracting matters to a wide-range of companies. Mr. Benson had a 35 year career with the Federal Government before joining Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney. He retired from Federal service in 2010 as a member of the Senior Executive Service. At the time of his retirement, Rod was the Director of the Office of Acquisition and Grants Management for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. He was responsible for all of CMS’s contracting and grant activities. Previously, Mr. Benson served as a Senior Attorney in the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the General Counsel. In that position, he represented the Health Care Financing Administration and the Social Security Administration in contracting and other administrative matters.
