Deborah Knight Kerr

Board Member

Ms. Knight-Kerr, former Director of Community and Education Projects for the Department of Human Resources at the Johns Hopkins Health System in Baltimore, Maryland, retired after 34 years of service. She was a member of the hospital’s senior management group and is recognized nationally as a career champion and a leader in corporate transformational change management as it relates to workforce development initiatives.

Ms. Knight-Kerr served on various community boards and committees, including the Baltimore City Workforce Investment Board, the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Notre Dame, the Board of Directors of Baltimore City Community College Foundation, and the Board of Directors of the Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake. She continues to serve as a member of the Bon Secours of Baltimore Community Works Board. Ms. Knight-Kerr served as a member of the National Association of Health Services Executives. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is a Fellowship Alumnus of the AHA Healthcare Forum Healthier Communities Fellowship Program and the Johns Hopkins Medicine Leadership Development Program. Ms. Knight-Kerr was also cited by the Mayor of Baltimore City for her splendid quality of public service.
